The story is very inspiring runners. Our lives are like a race. Not everything happens in accordance with our wishes. In times of adversity over, what do you do? Give up and not complete the trip or fall and rise even hurt?
Not easy, but not impossible. Derek could have given up because of pain, it seems impossible to complete the race in a state of leg pain; he had been left far behind by the other runners. However, Derek does not choose to surrender, by holding the pain, he still tried to finish the race. He does not care about losing or winning, but he just wanted to finish the race.
And support of the father who does not talk much but his presence told Derek that his father was there for him and give him encouragement. It becomes a force for Derek to further the spirit again finish the race.
Derek spirit who did not choose to surrender to inspire us, especially in living our daily lives. Derek did not want a defeat, so it is with us. But, again, not everything happens in accordance with our wishes. But that does not mean we fail. Because when we choose not to give up, we did not fail.
Things do not always work out the way you'd like, but, Pls you do not give up, you can not fail!
Smile and Be thankful,
